Whether you wish to have an 'Extreme Makeover' or simply improve the appearance of your smile, our doctors and team members are highly skilled in creating distinctive smiles. Among our many cosmetic procedures we offer teeth whitening, teeth recontouring, porcelain or composite resin veneers, porcelain crowns and bridges, and implant restorations. Please feel free to contact our office for our complimentary exam to discuss the many options available. The best way to keep your teeth and mouth in excellent condition is to receive regular cleanings and exams. We recommend that most patients with relatively healthy mouths receive a cleaning and exam every 6-8 months. With our extended office hours, we can accommodate almost any schedule whether it be on your lunch break or after school for your children. Every patient receives a thorough head and neck cancer screening exam as well as an oral cancer screening exam at each cleaning appointment. We also provide preventative fluoride treatments to children and adolescents to help strengthen their teeth and reduce the presence of cavity causing bacteria. Sealants (a resin coating placed in the grooves and pits of teeth) are also used to prevent against cavities during the younger years and are generally applied on the adult molars soon after they erupt around the ages of 6 and 12. Invisalign Invisalign is an exciting and revolutionary method to correct minor crowding and spacing of your teeth. Dr. Draft has received extensive training through Invisalign and has been certified to provide patients with a more cosmetic approach to straighten your teeth. Invisalign uses a series of clear removable aligners (similar to retainers) to move your teeth in sequential steps without the brackets and wires associated with regular orthodontics. Please contact our office for your free consultation if you would like to see if you are a candidate to straighten your teeth with Invisalign. Our dental team is also highly skilled with providing our patients' general restorative needs. We offer tooth colored resin fillings and porcelain crowns and bridges to keep your teeth looking and feeling their best. For patients who are missing multiple teeth, we can also provide you with a custom made removable partial denture. Periodontal disease is a disease of the gum tissue and bone surrounding the teeth. It is often associated with the lack of proper home care and routine dental cleanings. Our dental team offers a Soft Tissue Management Program which is utilized to help bring the gum tissue and bone back to a state of health. The damage cannot be reversed, however it can be controlled to prevent further loss of supporting bone. Periodontal disease has also been associated with other systemic health problems including pneumonia, premature birth, and heart disease to name a few. If left uncontrolled, the teeth will eventually become loose and infected due to the loss of gum tissue and surrounding bone. Ultimately the teeth would need to be extracted in severe cases. However, with the use of the Soft Tissue Management Program, routine professional cleanings, and proper home care the health of the gum tissue and bone can be maintained. When a tooth becomes infected from either trauma or a deep cavity, it can often be saved with a root canal. Our dental team routinely performs root canals on most teeth. A root canal removes the infected nerves and blood vessels from the center of the tooth and root. A filling material is placed inside the roots preventing the return of any infection and allowing the body to heal. We keep emergency times open daily to accommodate patients with tooth aches and often a root canal can be performed the same day to alleviate most of the pain. Unfortunately, there are times when a tooth cannot be saved and needs to be extracted. Our dental team is capable of performing routine extractions and some minor surgical extractions. |
